Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 amβ4 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Wilmington peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Everyone in this office is wonderful! From front office to the doctors! They gave me an honest assessment of my teeth and made a care plan that worked not only with my comfort level but also my budget. They gave me information about a second opinion which I did take advantage of. That dentist affirmed their assessment and I was on my way to not only heathy teeth but also a healthy heart. My smile is actually almost as beautiful as the original and I donβt have to worry about the plaque traveling to my heart. I would recommend this dentist to anyone who has no way to assure oral health without insurance. I am over the top pleased with my teeth. If you need help please see this dentist!!!

I went to get a new bottom denture which was almost 2 months. I went back today because my bite was too deep due to receded gum. I have been using cushion grip but it was not helping with the discomfort and blisters. I had looked into getting a soft liner which is what is used to help remedy this and wouldn't have to get a new one for about 6 months. I had already discussed this with Dr Edwards and he said to let him know if i wanted one. So I went today and the dental assistant said they dont make soft liners for that reason but would check for bad spots. She looked and saw the cushion grip and I told her it was a little difficult to get off. At the point she said she wouldn't do it and I would have to come back once it was off. What kind of service is that? They made the denture but I will have to go somewhere else if I want to have a soft liner. I rarely get to see the actual dentist, when I go there, just the assistant. And most of the time, I don't think she knows what she's talking about. Well, they just lost a customer, and I just don't understand why service is so bad with so many businesses these days, apparently, they don't care about holding on to customers.

TEN STARS!!!! Five weeks ago I came in for Tori removal and new dentures. Today I received my dentures and I know everyone thinks this is fake but let me tell you, they fit perfectly. When I returned home today I smiled at my son and he was like, "OMG Daddy, they look like your real teeth. I could tell by the genuine surprise in his eye that he was sincere. If you need dentures, then Dr. Edward's and his whole staff are very meticulous and thorough. You'll be glad you chose these true craftsman of denture making for sure.

If you need dentures, definitely go to Edwards Dentures and Implants in Wilmington, North Carolina. I had to have several teeth pulled, but DDS Williams made sure I didn't feel a thing by completely numbing the area. Because I had to have teeth removed, the process took a little bit longer, but he did a fantastic job fitting me; my new teeth look totally natural and fit very comfortably. The portion of the payment that insurance didn't cover was also very reasonable and fair. The staff is incredibly nice, the service is top-notch, and I recommend them 100%!"

I am so extremely grateful for dr Wiley Edwards! He listened and knew how bad I want my smile back! This office was absolutely incredible for me! Iβve been looking for over a year for a dentist that takes Medicaid to help me and unfortunately there was no one in my area that did. Yes I had to drive about a hour to get here but it was so worth it!! Update: I went yesterday 6/1 to get my impressions and my teeth! I havenβt been able to smile in so many years and I am not able to do that! When Dr. Wiley came in to see how my teeth looked I couldnβt help but to cry! Everyone was so amazing at this office! And Lauren at the front dest is beyond awesome!! So I want to thank everyone there for helping me get my smile back! Now I can go watch my daughter walk across that stage and be proud to smile!!!
